Beauty Ecommerce Built Around Product Discovery
Lime Crime operates as a digitally native cosmetics brand known for bold color, cruelty-free formulas, and community-led launches. Its Shopify storefront functions as both a shopping platform and a discovery experience where customers explore shades, finishes, and collections before purchasing.
Because beauty shoppers often compare multiple options, the site must support intuitive navigation, clear product presentation, and strong mobile usability. Much of Lime Crime’s traffic is driven by social campaigns and product drops, making performance and browsing clarity critical to conversion.
The Challenge: Improving Shade Navigation Across the Shopify Storefront
As the product catalog expanded, the storefront needed to better support navigation across categories and shade variations. Product pages included strong visuals and swatches, but the structure needed to help customers understand benefits quickly and move through shade selection with less friction.
Navigation also required refinement to improve browsing across categories like lip, hair, and eye products. At the same time, campaign-driven traffic spikes required stronger mobile performance and more stable page behavior to maintain a consistent experience.
Our Shopify Product Discovery & Merchandizing Strategy
Presidio implemented a focused optimization strategy across product page structure, navigation, and performance. PDPs were refined to better highlight shade options, product benefits, and application guidance while improving above-the-fold conversion clarity. Collection layouts and navigation were reorganized to support easier browsing and shade comparison. Performance improvements included image optimization, script cleanup, and mobile UX refinements, while modular merchandising controls enabled the team to manage launches and campaigns without developer dependency.
