Presidio partnered with Momofuku, the consumer brand founded by David Chang, to launch its direct-to-consumer Shopify storefront. The objective was to translate a globally recognized culinary brand into a high-performing ecommerce platform built around curated product bundles, subscription purchasing, and guided product discovery powered by Quiz Kit.
From Culinary Brand to Shopify Ecommerce Platform
Momofuku built its reputation through award-winning restaurants before expanding into packaged goods such as chili crisp, noodles, and sauces. As ecommerce became a core growth channel, the Shopify storefront needed to reflect the authority of the brand while functioning as a disciplined revenue engine.
Bundles, subscriptions, and curated merchandising needed to sit at the center of the experience. The goal was not just to launch a store, but to create a platform that guides customers through product pairings and supports repeat pantry purchases.
Structuring Bundles, Subscriptions & Product Discovery in Shopify
Transitioning from restaurants to DTC introduced new complexity. Products naturally pair together, but translating that into a Shopify experience required clear bundle logic and intuitive merchandising.
At the same time, subscription needed to support replenishment without friction, while first-time customers required guided discovery to navigate flavor profiles and product combinations. The storefront also had to balance premium storytelling with speed, usability, and conversion performance.

We engineered curated bundle structures with clear savings logic to drive higher average order value while keeping the experience simple and intuitive. Subscription was integrated directly into product templates, clearly differentiating one-time and recurring purchases. We also implemented a Quiz Kit-powered product quiz to guide customers through flavor preferences and direct them into curated bundles, improving conversion while capturing zero-party data.
