Sightglass Coffee operates as a specialty coffee roaster known for high-quality sourcing, careful roasting, and distinctive café experiences. As demand for home brewing continues to grow, the Shopify storefront plays an important role in translating that in-store expertise into a stronger digital purchase journey.
Customers often explore roast profiles, brewing preferences, and seasonal releases before choosing a coffee. Because many also subscribe for recurring deliveries, the storefront needs to balance product education with efficient conversion flows while supporting a reliable Shopify subscription experience and ongoing replenishment.
The Challenge: Improving Discovery, Subscription Clarity & Conversion
As the DTC channel expanded, the storefront needed refinement to better support product discovery and repeat purchase behavior. Product pages already included detailed information about origin, tasting notes, and roast characteristics, but the conversion hierarchy needed clearer structure to help new customers make confident purchasing decisions.
Subscription functionality also needed clearer positioning to better support recurring coffee deliveries. Customers comparing multiple roast options needed an easier way to browse products, understand subscription benefits, and move through the purchase journey with less friction. At the same time, mobile usability and storefront performance needed strengthening to keep the experience smooth during high-traffic periods and seasonal releases.

Our Shopify Optimization Strategy for Subscription Growth, Discovery & Performance
Presidio implemented a focused Shopify optimization strategy across product page structure, subscription visibility, and storefront performance. Product detail pages were refined to better highlight tasting notes, origin information, and brew guidance while improving the above-the-fold purchase flow. Subscription options were also clarified to emphasize the convenience of recurring delivery and support long-term coffee replenishment. Navigation and collection layouts were adjusted to improve product discovery across seasonal releases and core offerings, making it easier for customers to browse roast profiles and brewing formats. Performance improvements included image optimization, script cleanup, and mobile UX refinements designed to maintain fast load speeds and stable browsing behavior. Modular theme controls were also introduced so internal teams could feature new roasts, rotate seasonal promotions, and manage merchandising updates without ongoing development support.
